Title: New Hellcat
Post by: Austin on Thu, 02/21/13, 05:27 PM
After a couple of years and many delays, I finished my Hellcat. It is a Byron kit but I only used the fuse as most of the other stuff was not correct. It weights 27 pounds. Has not flown yet.

Hey Austin,

The Hellcat looks terrific!
I think I just found the cover-model for next year's Warbird Calendar ;D
oo-la-la!
Break-a-leg ( best of luck ) on the maiden.
Ken.
ps; tell March to come in like a Lamb this year & not like a Lion! ;D ;D

Looks great, Austin. What are you using for power?

It's powered by a 3W 60 that's been laying around forever but never run. It seems to run OK although I had to make a baffle and put it in front of the carb as it running way to rich with the cowl on. I'm tentatively planning on bringing it up to the qualifier in Fresno.
