Title: Watching the Championships online?
Post by: rcphotog on Tue, 09/24/13, 08:21 PM
Only 15 days 'till this year's Championships

Congratulations to everyone who has qualified for 2013!
Here's to the pilots, the judges, the organizers, the C.D.s, the numerous volunteers at each qualifier and....
to the BUILDERS for whom without, there would be no point in "Keeping the Dream Alive". Even with all the ARFs competing in today's world, I think Harris Lee would be proud of what you builders have accomplished with today's available resources.
I attended three qualifiers ( as picture taker ;) ) this year and saw alot of excitement and enthusiasm by the contestants as well as spectators ( at Gunsmoke ) and was encouraged about the future of Scale Masters. I saw alot of terrific models and incredible craftsmanship skills on display in 2013. Very inspirational :)

I've been very optimistic & hopefull for the future of the Masters BUT, I would like to see more participation from the general membership on these forums. We need to keep the lines of communication going about what's on everyone's mind. Tell us what you think. Good, bad, or ugly.
2014 is right around the corner and with the new qualifing criteria in place, it should be another exciting year.

Congrats & best wishes for a successful Championships!
Ken
ps; Will there be a live feed of some sort for us at home to watch?

Mitch is driving out and bringing most if not all of his gear with him.  Always depending on his available time he will set it up.  It is not streaming, but an update every few seconds.  We are pretty sure there is wireless coverage out there, but I have not asked Jeff Lovitt yet.

Looks like pre-registration has crept up to 40 and is expected to go higher based on static time requests.  Jeff L is doing a great job with the pre-organizing and a lot of people are helping with that, so it looks like this will be a really good Championships event.  If you are qualified and have not registered yet, let's dust off those hanger queens and have some fun in the air.
